I have changed my passport many years ago, and have traveled many times already using the new passport. Do I have to still make the new registration?
They have made this very difficult, complicated. The website also is slow, does not accept photos or information required in a simple format.
Yes it’s better that we update our new passport details within 90days. Though what about the people who have new passports from more than 90days ago. Example one year back?
It sounds as though we have to pay? A way for them to make money. Personally the new rule should be in place as of a specified date from now. Otherwise it’s unfair, unprofessional and makes it more complicated.
The old rules should stay in place until the new specified is agreed.
This is going to discourage folk from travelling to motherland and supporting the economy of India. It breaks all the previous agreements issued with the OCI card. This is using a sledgehammer to stop the few instances of misuse of OCI. All pressure must be brought on the High Commissioner.
