Aurora Dhamaka Announces Major Dance Competition in Cheshire

Following the success of its previous productions, Aurora Dhamaka has announced the launch of Dance Dhamaka Season 2, an exciting dance competition that promises to showcase some of the finest dance talent from across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The organisers are inviting professional and semi-professional dance troupes, as well as dance schools, to participate in what is expected to be a spectacular evening of entertainment, creativity and cultural celebration.

The event will take place on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, bringing together dancers from diverse backgrounds and performance traditions.

A Platform for Dance Excellence

Dance Dhamaka Season 2 aims to provide a prestigious platform for emerging and established dance groups to demonstrate their talent before a live audience and a panel of judges.

Organisers say the competition will celebrate the diversity and creativity of South Asian dance while encouraging innovation and high-quality performances.

A large LED screen will form the stage backdrop, enabling teams to enhance their routines through creative visual effects and multimedia presentations.

Competition Categories

Teams will compete in two exciting categories:

  • Semi-Classical / Fusion
  • Bollywood

Participants are encouraged to present original and engaging choreography that combines technical skill, artistic expression and stage presence.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the competition:

  • Dancers must be aged 14 years or above.
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of five dancers.

Attractive Cash Prizes

With a total prize fund of £2,000, the competition is expected to attract strong interest from dance schools and performance groups throughout the UK and Ireland.

Aurora Dhamaka has built a reputation for producing high-quality cultural events that bring communities together through music, dance and entertainment.
