Mr Antony had travelled to the United Kingdom with his wife, Elsy Antony, to spend time with their three sons, who are all settled in the UK. During the visit, he became unwell and was admitted to hospital on 25 July 2026 after experiencing severe body pain and a rapid deterioration in his health.

Following medical investigations, doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia and sepsis. His mortal remains will be repatriated to Kerala, where the funeral service will be held at St Joseph’s Church, North Chalakudy. The date and time of the funeral will be announced later.

The family has expressed its sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Torbay Hospital and Newton Abbot Community Hospital for the compassionate care they provided during Mr Antony’s final days. They also thanked relatives, friends and well-wishers for their prayers, support and messages of condolence at this difficult time.
