The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church’s Diocese of UK, Europe & Africa has announced that the Malankara Orthodox Shushroosha Sangam (AMOSS) Annual Conference 2025 will take place on 15 November 2025 at St. Stephens Indian Orthodox Church, Birmingham (B26 2RR). This year’s conference is anchored on the theme “Servants of the New Covenant” (2 Corinthians 3:6).

Registration for participants begins at 8:30 AM (UK time), with a fee of £15 per acolyte

The sessions will be led by H.G. Abraham Mar Stephanos, Metropolitan of the UK–Europe–Africa Diocese, and Rev. Fr. Happy Jacob, offering spiritual guidance, training, and insights into the life and responsibilities of altar servers in the Church.

AMOSS—the Akhila Malankara Orthodox Shusrushaka Sangham—is the official body dedicated to training altar assistants across the global Malankara Orthodox Church. The movement focuses on providing disciplined liturgical instruction, maintaining uniform worship practices, and nurturing spiritual commitment among altar boys. Those who complete the formation process under AMOSS are formally ordained as part of the Church’s serving community. His Grace Abraham Mar Stephanos, who oversees the extensive tri-continental Diocese, continues to play a key role in strengthening liturgical training and spiritual formation among the youth serving in the altar ministry.
