Dr. Davis Kadicheeni peacefully passed away after an illness in Hospital, Sheffield on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosily Davis, and his cherished children Jacob, Dr Francis, and Dr Ann.
His son-in-law, Antony, and daughter-in-law, Willbe, join in mourning his loss, as do his adored granddaughters Isabelle, O’sanna, and Sophia. This grief is shared by the beloved younger brother, Dr. Thomas Kadicheeni.
Originally from Mala, Kerala, India, Dr. Davis was the beloved son of the late Kadicheeni Chakkappan and Thresiakutty Chakkappan. He completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College in 1970 and ventured to the UK in 1971. For two years, he served as a dedicated Paediatrician in Scotland before relocating to Sheffield in 1973, where he established a flourishing career as a GP. Driven by a vision for progress, he modernised his practice, introduced computerisation, and played a pivotal role in modifying to contemporary premises.
Dr. Davis was a beacon of compassion, earning the affection of patients, colleagues, and the entire community. His commitment extended beyond medical practice as he actively participated in charitable events through his involvement with the Rotary Club for many years. Additionally, he was an enthusiastic member of the UK Malayali Medical Association.
Those close to Dr. Davis remember him as a delightful soul always ready to extend a helping hand, accompanied by a warm and welcoming smile. His legacy of love, generosity, and infectious smile will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
