Celebrate Kerala Piravi in Style in Loughton
The UK’s Malayalee diaspora is gearing up for a historic cultural gathering this autumn, as Keralolsavam 2026 officially marks the first time a major Malayalee event is being hosted in Loughton.
Scheduled for Saturday, 31 October 2026 at the Loughton Grand Marquee, this milestone festival represents a significant expansion for the British Malayalee community, bringing Kerala’s grandest traditions directly to Epping Forest. Organised by Theyyam Events UK Ltd, the landmark celebration promises an immersive experience under the banner “One Heritage. Endless Expressions,” running from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM.

A Historic Milestone for Loughton
While large-scale Malayalee community festivals have traditionally been centered in other parts of Greater London and the UK, this debut event highlights Loughton as an emerging hub for diverse cultural celebrations. Local residents and traveling families alike will get to witness an unprecedented lineup of classical art forms and contemporary fusion right on their doorstep.

A Spectacular Lineup of Art and Music
Keralolsavam 2026 is designed to serve as a vibrant bridge to traditional roots while embracing modern expressions. Attendees will experience:
• Masterful Folk Traditions: Captivating live appearances of Theyyam, the ancient, visually striking ritual art form native to North Malabar.
• Classical Expressions: Timeless storytelling through Kathakali and the graceful movements of Mohiniyattam.
• Powerful Rhythms: An energetic, thumping performance of Chenda Melam (traditional percussion).
• Modern Fusion & Fashion: A curated fashion showcase followed by a live DJ set blending popular tracks with traditional beats.
