The Sree Narayana Guru Mission (SNGM) UK is preparing for its landmark 172nd Gurujayanthi and Onam Celebrations, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 5th September 2026, at Eastbury School in Barking.
Guided by the timeless wisdom of Sree Narayana Guru—“Whichever the religion it suffice, if it makes you a better person”—the organization is scaling up this year’s festivities to offer a vibrant community experience filled with rich cultural programs.
Highlights of the Celebrations

Theatrical Showcase: A major highlight of the day will be the special Malayalam short drama “Shukranakshathram”, which explores the life and profound literary works of Mahakavi Kumaran Asan.

Cultural Lineup: A diverse array of traditional and modern cultural performances showcasing the richness of Kerala’s heritage.

Free Community Event: True to tradition, the main celebration is organized as a free event for all attendees, made possible entirely through donations, sponsorships, and the generosity of well-wishers.
