MAUK to Host ‘Swayam Ponnonam 2024’ Featuring Vidhu Prathap: A Grand Celebration of Tradition and Entertainment

The Malayalee Association of the United Kingdom (MAUK), the first and leading Malayalee community organisation in the UK, is set to host its highly anticipated Swayam Ponnonam 2024 on Saturday, 28 September 2024.

A celebration rich in tradition and entertainment, this year’s event promises to be a harmonious blend of Kerala’s cultural heritage and festive enjoyment. Doors open at 3 PM, with the programme beginning at 3:30 PM at Eastbury Community School, Hulse Avenue, Barking, Essex IG11 9UW.

The event will feature two exciting parts:

Part 1: Variety Cultural Programmes by Prominent UK Artists
A variety of art forms will be performed by top UK-based artists, delivering a captivating cultural experience.

Part 2: Live Concert by Vidhu Prathap
Prepare to be enchanted by a live musical performance by renowned singer Vidhu Prathap, joined by Christa Kala and a talented group of musicians from Kerala. Vidhu Prathap recently marked a significant milestone in his career, celebrating 25 years in the Music industry.

In addition to the performances, attendees can indulge in a variety of traditional Kerala and fusion Arabic delicacies, courtesy of the popular Chai Kadai restaurant chain. The event will also feature ethnic clothes and jewellery stalls, a Kerala-themed photo booth for capturing memories, and free raffle draws sponsored by event partners.
