Kerala Catholic Association of the UK Hosts a Successful Onasadya in London

Posted by

The Kerala Catholic Association of the UK joyfully celebrated Onam with a traditional Onasadya on 30 August 2025 at St Thomas More Church Hall, Barking, London.

The traditional feast was a resounding success, welcoming guests across three sittings. Attendees were treated to a fabulous sadhya of 27 authentic and delicious dishes, all beautifully served on banana leaves, recreating the vibrant culinary heritage of Kerala.

The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the Nilavilavku and a short speech by Kerala Catholic Chaplain Fr. Wingston Vavachan.

The hall was filled with laughter, friendship, and the warmth of our community coming together. We are deeply grateful to all our volunteers, families, and friends who worked tirelessly to make this event such a success.

Here’s to more celebrations that bring us closer as one family!
