The Kerala Association of Muslim Professionals (KAMP), a vibrant community of over 400 families in the UK, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Composed primarily of doctors, engineers, IT professionals, business owners, and other professionals from Kerala, KAMP has made significant contributions to society through its commitment to community service and knowledge sharing.
Over the past decade, KAMP has conducted over 100 workshops including university workshops, IT and engineering workshops, medical webinars, soft skills workshops etc. KAMP had enabled hundreds of doctors and engineers to obtain a job and develop their careers in UK and also supported new business ventures and start ups.
To mark this milestone, KAMP is organizing a special event titled “10 Years of KAMP” alongside its annual meet on 13th July at Caroline Chisholm School, Wooldale Centre for Learning, Wooldale Rd, Northampton NN4 6TP. This event will celebrate KAMP’s achievements, showcase the talents within the community, and provide valuable networking opportunities for all members. All are invited.
About KAMP:
Founded in 2014, KAMP aims to preserve the cultural heritage and values of the Muslim and Malayalee communities. The non-sectarian, non-political, and socially inclusive group focuses on acquiring and imparting knowledge, and promoting social welfare, community cohesion, and education. KAMP organises educational, social, cultural, interfaith, sports and recreational activities. KAMP has co- funded many educational, health-related & social projects in collaboration with partners in India and Kerala and has provided support for the Kerala Chief Minister’s flood relief and supported various COVID related projects including providing funds for intensive care equipments and dialysis machines.
KAMP’s approach to charity is both affordable and impactful, ensuring accessible and effective support through a mix of emergency aid, short-term relief, and sustainable long-term projects.
KAMP’s next step aims to promote education within the wider community by collaborating with various other like minded groups and communities

The anniversary celebration will feature the presentation of KAMP’s story by Chair & Co-Founder Dr Riaz & Secretary Mr Rubas and its charitable efforts, attended by notable guests including Northampton Deputy Mayor & Councillor Mrs Jane Birch, former Councillor and Town Mayor Mr. Philip Abraham, UKMA President Dr. Biju Peringathara, Prof. Kasim Salim, and renowned record breaking cyclist Mr Fayis Ashraf Ali.
