
Launches “Padayorukkam – Let Us Unite for Change” initiative
Global IOC leaders rally support for UDF candidates across 140 constituencies

UK: The Indian Overseas Congress (UK) – Kerala Chapter, under the leadership of its Midlands Area, has intensified its campaign activities for the Kerala Legislative Assembly elections. A large-scale social media campaign titled “Padayorukkam – Let Us Unite for Change” was formally launched, drawing active participation from IOC–Congress leaders and volunteers across multiple countries. In parallel, fully equipped war room operations were inaugurated to coordinate efforts aimed at ensuring the victory of UDF candidates across all constituencies.
The campaign was officially inaugurated by IOC (UK) National President Kamal Dhaliwal. The keynote address was delivered by KPCC Vice President and former Member of Parliament Ramya Haridas, who emphasized that collective action, ideological clarity, and grassroots mobilisation are essential to bring about meaningful political change. In her inspiring speech, she expressed gratitude to the expatriate Malayali community for its continued support for democratic values and progressive politics.
IOC (UK) – Kerala Chapter President Shinu Clare Mathews delivered the welcome address and outlined the structure and methodologies of the campaign. The programme was co-ordinated by Romy Kuriakose, General Secretary of the IOC (UK) – Kerala Chapter, who presented the introductory remarks. അഡ്വ. Shobin Sam, Executive Committee Member, proposed the vote of thanks.

The event withnessed the participation of prominent IOC leaders from various countries participated and expressed solidarity, including George Abraham (Vice Chairman, IOC USA), Anura Mathai (IOC Global Coordinator), Sirosh George (Vice President, IOC Europe), Joy Kochatt (President, IOC Switzerland), Linkwinstar Mathew (President, IOC Ireland), Tomy Thondamkuzhi (President, IOC Switzerland – Kerala Chapter), Sunny Joseph (President, IOC Germany – Kerala Chapter), Jins Thomas (President, IOC Poland), Gokul Adithyan (General Secretary, IOC Poland).
From the Indian Overseas Congress (UK) – Kerala Chapter, Joint Treasurer Manikandan Aickad and Secretary Bobin Philip were present. Midlands Area Unit Presidents Mithun K, Roy Joseph, Peter Painadath, Dr. Jobin Sebastian, Bibin Kalayil, Bibin Raj, George John, Gibson George, Arun Philipose, Jibeesh Thankachan, Jagan Padachira and Joshy Joseph, along with other chapter leaders and workers , actively participated and expressed solidarity.
Beyond digital outreach, the IOC (UK) – Kerala Chapter Midlands Area will work closely with UDF organisational structures across all 140 Assembly constituencies. Members of the campaign task force will actively engage in grassroots-level outreach, with detailed plans in place to mobilise and consolidate the support of expatriate families in favour of the UDF. Activities will include poster campaigns, leaflet distribution, vehicle rallies, and door-to-door visits to ensure comprehensive support for UDF candidates.
Participants expressed strong confidence that the Midlands Area–led campaign would energise UDF workers and significantly expand the reach of election efforts through a disciplined war room system and strategically coordinated social media operations.
