		<description><![CDATA[Balamurali Namboodiri of Edamana Illam is the new &#8216;melsanthi&#8217; (head priest) of the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple.
T K Eswaran Namboodiri of Attukal has been selected as the head priest of the adjoining Malikappuram Devi temple.
Both the priests would continue for one year after taking over on November 16, when the two-month long pilgrim season
of the hillshrine begins.
The priests, who will have to stay at the hillshrine for the entire year, were chosen by drawing lot from a list of

Land would be made available near the  Nehru International Stadium for the metro trains to take a turn towards Palarivattom Junction along the existing one-way road. The trains can then proceed to Kakkanad through the Palarivattom Bypass Junction.

 CIAL has worked out a   proposal that would be presented before the company Director Board when it meet on September 24, 2011.

		<description><![CDATA[A new four star facility to cater to business and leisure class has opened near the Cochin International Airport Limited at Nedumbasserry recently.
Flora Airport Hotel is located just opposite to the international terminal at the Kochi airport premises. The unit, from one of the Dubai-based Flora hotels group, is the first among the series of hospitality ventures planned in the country, the promoters said.
The company had entered into the customer oriented venture in 2008 by opening the Oberon &#8212; the first ever multi level shopping mall in Kochi.

Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court J. Chelameswar administered the oath of office to Mr. Farook who has moved into Kerala after serving as Governor of Jharkhand. He replaces R. S. Gavai whose term has ended. Mr. Farook is the 16th Governor to hold full charge of the State.
